Mission objectives

Planned as second resident crew of the space station Salyut 1. The original prime crew was subsequently targeted to be launched on the second expedition to Salyut 1, with Valeri Kubasov being replaced by Nikolai Rukavishnikov. Cancelled after the Soyuz 11 landing accident.
