Graduated from Military Pilot School,
Novosibirsk, 1955; Lieutenant Colonel, Soviet Air Force; was selected as
cosmonaut on 07.03.1960 (TsPK-1); in July 1960 his spinal column was injured,
when he was swimming; retired of medical reasons on 06.03.1961; then he worked
on in the Soviet Space Program most recently as a flight instructor for new
cosmonauts within the
TsPK; died on complications of brain bleeding after a
home accident. |
