After finishing school he studied for one year at Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School and then at the Zhukovsky Military Engineering Academy; Colonel, Soviet Air Forces; Journalist at "Krasnaya Zvezda"; was selected as cosmonaut candidate in June 1965; was (supposed) involved in the Soviet lunar landing program; was not chosen as "official" cosmonaut by GMVK; from 1965 to 1970 not regular training; later free working artist; applied for a spaceflight again end 1989, but was not selected (to old); died on cancer.
