Civilian; Bachelor of Arts degree in 1952; semi finalist in NASA group 2 selection; from July 1956 to July 1957 production test pilot for Douglas Aircraft; from 1963-65 Northrop Aircraft Test Pilot at Edwards AFB; from 1965-69 he was the Chief Test Pilot for General Electric at Edwards AFB; from June 1969 to March 1972 he represented General Electric to the Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, and Congress; from March 1972 to June 1974 while at General Electric’s Aircraft Engine Headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the manager for the TF39 Post-Production Program that ensured proper support for the USAF C-5 Galaxy program; from June 1974 to June 1985, Fritz was District Manager and Manager of the Commercial Engine Programs that supported the Boeing Company; from 1985 to 1992 he was Vice President of General Electric’s Melbourne based Australasia Aircraft Engines; since October 1992 retired.
