Grown up in Cologne; primary school in Bautzen and Cologne; graduated from Humanistic Gymnasium in Cologne: entered German Air Force 1957; Jet Pilot; retired from German Air Force 1964; than graduate at the Rheinisch-Westfaelische Technische Hochschule in Aachen; mechanical engineering grade (Diplom-Ingenieur), 1969; since 01.04.1969 Research Engineer with VfW in Bremen/Lemwerder; 1970 test pilot with Focker; 1978/79 while serving for VfW working as Airbus A-300 pilot for different airlines (for example in Libya); until 1988 several duties for different airlines (for example in Indonesia); than test-pilot for the Airbus A-300; after transferring to DASA he had to quit his job on 30.06.1996 because of less work; since than retired; hobbies: searching for minerals, swimming, gardening, visiting museums and spending time with his family.
