One of fourty semi finalists in the "Journalist in Space Program" (cancelled following the Challenger tragedy); candidate from Maryland; in 1986 working for UPI; currently Pratt's associate dean for public affairs; worked on a part-time basis after retiring in 2001 as assistant vice president in the university's Office of Public Affairs and director of the Duke News Service.
