BSc, Zoology, University of Manitoba (2000); MSc, Zoology, University of Manitoba (2002); Ph.D., Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences, Texas A&M University (2007); currently works as a postdoctoral fellow at the Marine Mammal Research Unit at the University of British Columbia. Her research focuses on the physiology of wild species that have adapted to extreme environments. Her work has taken her to such remote locations as Antarctica.
