One of fourty semi finalists in the "Journalist in Space Program" (cancelled following the Challenger tragedy); candidate from Wisconsin; in 1986 working for the Milwaukee Journal; retired from The Journal on April 01, 1995, the day of its merger with the Milwaukee Sentinel to become The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; currently he teaches feature writing at the University of Wisconsin.
