From 1979 through 1982 she learned at the botanical institute at the Norwegian polytechnic university; works as the leader of research laboratory in company Agrolab A/S; in 1990 she was one of five Norwegian candidates for the European astronaut group; but could not pass the first stage of the selection of the European Commission.
